London to Loughborough

Pictures taken on the 31st of May

It's a trip I've made several times in the past 9 months
and I'm not even a person who loves big cities
The crowds that throng Leicester Square, Queensway, Oxford street (our usual haunts whenever someone is visiting).. all give me a headache
It's all push and shove.. and more push and shove
The tube is suffocating, and so oppressively hot;
this trip, I thought the heat was going to make me faint
Londoners also tend to be much less friendly than in the midlands
...
This is only the second time I've stayed in London for more than 2 days

yet..
yes, there is a yet..
i feel awful whenever i leave london
Because it means leaving my loved ones behind
be it my parents, my cousins, or my friends
:(

thankfully, it's only a short phase
in a matter of hours, i'd see the countryside I so love
and it makes me think ..
i'm going to be home!
with porky and Black Pearl (my laptop) and the garden full of squirrels and birds
this time, when i got home, I discovered that the street i live on is smelling of roses
:)

Leicester Square... did you manage to get those half price seats for all the theatres in town, just an hour or two before the show?
I remember I was there all alone and buying a ticket for 'Mouse Trap', an Agatha Christie play that recorded the longest run of 45(?) years and more.

I have been stealing your images for my computer screen, using them as backdrop to the icons during pop-up time. They include, the serious, solitary cat, the flowers in the shoe and the enchanting close-up of a purple orchid.

I am currently having a dark background of a cloud, high-lighted by an obviously shimmering but shy sun.

Dark but bright! Wow!

Thank you.

Re: Leicester Square
The half price seats are quite far back I think. Sometimes, newspaper or coach promotions also have 50% discount
