Pictures taken on the 27th & 28th of May

This was the worst time I had on the tube
It was cold in Loughborough when i left; just seven degrees
When I got to London, it must have been 20
All I had to do was go to Queensway, drop my bag with Yvonne
and meet Roger and gang in China Town for dinner
But it felt like an eternity because of the heat in the tube
It didn't help that there was a delay "due to an earlier fault"
aagh!

But when we got there, i realised we were eating satay crab!
I am not even a big fan of crab ..but i must have been starving
even with my bandaged hand, I managed to eat quite a few pieces

no photos.. I was too busy eating.. hiak!
I'm also getting very adept at bandaging my right hand by myself

Roger bought Yvonne and I cupcakes :)))
I had mine (the black one cos I let them choose first and they took the pretty ones) for breakfast the next day
or did I eat it at midnight? I don't remember

The next day, we picked Ah Hui up from Paddington
and bought him tea at Patisserie Valerie, the little french cafe in Queensway

The supersweet cupcake (that no one wanted to eat), the custard pie, traditional scones with clotted cream (i love!)

We did a bout of shopping at Oxford Street afterwards, because Ah Hui wanted to
Because I still don't have proper summer clothes, I was dying in a long jean skirt
suddenly, this arab lady came up to me and asked where I bought it

because she'd been looking for one like this
(I'd bought it in Bogyoke Market in 2000!!)
More than once, I was tempted to ask her if she wanted to take mine
because I was just so fed up with it at that point in time
but i managed to hold my tongue

When we meet, it predictably became all about food
Ah Hui, in particular, is really choosy and a total connoiseur
He said he was going to buy us dinner as a belated birthday present
So we marched to Arirang, only to find that there was no table until 9
We eventually ended up at Corean Chilli (in Chinatown of course)

We loved the stir-fried squid! and the kimchi pancake
this is making me hungry again!!

And of course, we won't leave the restaurant without having some grilled pork
Roger was my chopstick model

This is making me miss that little-hole-in-the-wall korean restaurant in singapore chinatown we used to frequent
