. Dolphins have 88 teeth; 44 on top and 44 below - all cone shaped
. They have an average lifespan of about 55 years
. They need to come up every 15 minutes for air
. But they have the ability to shut down half of their brain so they can go to sleep (without having to keep coming up for air 24/7)
. They are very very promisuous
. When they mate, 1 male helps to support the female so that another male can get it on (food for thought huh..)
. In the wild, far from cuddly, they can actually be quite agressive
. When mummy dolphin gets angry with baby dolphin, she takes him down to the base of the sea until he behaves!
