Futsal

We played our last game in the regional futsal league this week
since we'd .. erm.. lost all games to date
I shall not mention the name of our team, or the league we played in
har har har

For the last game, I was photog.. cos of the accident
Just too bad that I couldn't use a tripod because there was no space to set up

History

so....... I think it was some time in late March that I got an email
about a group of ladies who play football every monday
I was in a desperate need to sweat because even Body Combat wasn't doing it
so I decided to give it a go even though the last time i played was in college
after a few sessions, I got conscripted into the team

the girls had previously signed up for a league, thinking it was for amateurs
and finding out, belatedly, to their horror, that it was almost professional
yea..
these clubs go on overseas training trips
O_o

us?
er.. we practise once a week for 1 hour
we don't even wear the same t-shirts.. or have proper shoes
(for our games, i wear any old t-shirt and trek shoes)
and the girls are such sweeties, they apologise if they step on each other during the game
Jas, Erin and I brought the word "Aggressive" into the team

oh yes, we didn't even have a goalie until the last 3 games
seriously..
we took turns to keep goal..
it's no wonder we kept losing
someone asked me if i didn't want to quit..
but i don't think it occurred to any of us to stop playing in the league
if we lose, at least we'd tried

we have been so cartoon that even the referee started rooting for us
he is such a darling he said he'd buy us a round of beer if we won a game
haha
but yes, we're getting better, and our goalie saved us a lot of embarrassment
the next time though, we'll make sure we pick on someone smaller
