Wollaton Hall & Deer Park

Pictures taken on the 15th of April

Lynn and I spent 2 hours plus getting to Wollaton Hall
because we were very attracted by the idea of a deer park
So we walked 40 minutes to the train station, took a 20 min ride to Nottingham
walked another half hour to city centre, and spent yet another half hour on the E30
and the sun wasn't even out that morning!

we were more than a little disappointed with the deer
cos they were shedding their winter coat and looked rather scruffy and scrawny
I was expecting to see lots of Bambis!

It was a really cold and foggy morning
this picture was taken at 1130

the tree lined walk leading to the mansion

doesn't the chair look lonely?
and cold??
it was freezing for a spring morning
English weather.. is.. well.. English weather
:(

A replica of the Wollaton Hall itself..
it now houses the Natural History Museum

My favourite room was the Mineral Gallery
I'm either a crow..
or Geology just runs in my blood
It took me at least half hour to take pictures of the 50 i liked
just because I knew my parents would have loved it

Some of the best looking ones
:)
