Snow domes

Pictures taken on the 5th of February with my SE

I was downloading a picture of my "baby" today
and these turned up on the memory card
it was taken near The Rushes during the snow storm
Was on my way to London that thursday morning
and the world was covered in snow!
it made even Milton Keynes look pretty

it was also a memorable trip because i got so sick on the coach
it was just overheated;
i don't know how people here can wear 3 layers in a heated coach!
and because the train lines were disrupted in london, i got to the DVLA only at 430 ..
just barely enough time for me to convert my licence before they closed

it was also on that trip i went shopping for the first time in london;
my previous trips were always always spent having various meals with friends and family
oxford street simultaneously reminded me of home, and the reason I chose to live in Loughborough
crowds are fun for about 5 minutes before i start getting claustrophobic
I can just about cope with the loughborough population doing their market shopping on saturdays

I might miss the cities when my stint here is over
but for the moment, i'm feeling good about cycling 4 miles a day
and walking in the woods, hills etc etc on the weekends...
essentially reducing the carbon footprint, living a healthier lifestyle
aha..
(.. except when I go to london and pig out on chinese/jap/korean food)
I'm even getting used to lugging 5kg rice bags uphill!!

Snow is great to look at but I am ready for Spring. Milton Keynes - that sounds so familiar.

I wish I were still in London. Thanks for stopping by earlier, btw.
