i was in love with the food in Barcelona
so when one of our little jaunts took us to St Josep Mercat, it was like walking into wonderland
food doesn't photograph well under lowlight (or the photog doesn't have the skills)
but it was a mind boggling array of the freshest veg, all kinds of imaginable seafood, cheeses, meats, sweets etc
plus.. there was a glass case showcasing carcasses of large hares, chickens and pheasants ..
which i found a bit distressing
but otherwise, it was a total foodie paradise!
a little girl receives something extra when her dad bought chocolates
i know.. they're only eggs
but aren't the little santas cute??
bamboo clams, mussels, crab (i think there're sea urchins too)
lobsters...
i think i could live in barcelona..
