Loughborough's a small but neat little market town with friendly and courteous locals
erm.. fresher students don't really count; they're .. not grown up enough
how cute is this?
it's actually just 10 mins' walk down the hill from my house..
but i'm proud to say that i've never gone in
... i doubt they have McSpicy.. so what's the point?
Loughborough University is the pride and joy of this town..
..in a way Boon Lay residents will never feel about NTU
pple usually think i'm a student at LU and they are proud of the Uni attracting international students
and when i tell them i'm a staff, they tell me i'd done very well to choose to work here
if you search for Loughborough in google, u get the LU website first
oh.. and LU is University of the Year 2008!
this is Emmanuel Church near town centre
i like how old and grand it looks
as cranky as the weather has been ... it is summer.. and some flowers have survived the rain
And this is the 'ugliest' bit of Queens Park
it's under renovation so the pond, the garden, etc don't look great now
but i like how people have their own little pinics and play sessions here
and look! blackberries!
it's cool to be able to just pluck them and pop them into your mouth
oh.. but they are quite tart
next up on my visit list.. the steam rail station, the bell foundry, and the old parish church
