My Singapore: East Coast Park

it's been my "second" home, my place of refuge and solace, for the past 14 years
i'd run, walked, cycled and bladed on the paths and fallen countless times
i'd played in the sand, waded into the sea, and rocked in a hammock

the macdonald's has been a gathering point ever since I learnt how to blade
i'd spent many hours of my life waiting for my friends at this spot

the psychedelic colours of the playground beside mac's

on a grass patch by the beach, a baby stroller awaits its owner

The junction just before the seafood restaurants
i took it from the exact spot where sin and I fell during our first blading lesson

the new bougainvillea park..
the old one used to be the half way point for the 3.2 km run in college until it was "torn down"
this isn't very good photography.. but red, white, pink and green!

and here's a spot of yellow..
bike rentals cost 6 bucks for an hour with the second hour free!
there's also complimentary mineral water

I'm feeling much more comfortable on blades now..
i actually dared to take pictures with my D60 despite potential financial damage

the guest photog was fascinated by this bunch of flowers

when i saw this grass patch full of fallen petals, i started singing (off-key) a burmese song from my tween days
the song still pops up in my mind whenever i see this photo
:)P
