Switzerland: Day 4 - Zürich: Landesmuseum & Platzspitz Park

(Photos taken with Panasonic DMC-FX01)

i felt better the moment i was in the train
annoucements are made in German, French, and English
:)

I got to Zürich at about 10.. which left me 12 hours before my flight
some flamboyant faggot at my travel agency told me the station lockers are not safe
but of course, the locals told me other wise
all i needed was to find a locker big enough to dump my bags in
i chose "423"; it was 7 or 8 francs for 24 hours
besides, i could use the same ticket to hop off at Hauptbanof (main station) and continue to Zürich Flughafen (Airport)
apparently, everything cool was just within a few km of the station

Landesmuseum (a.k.a The Swiss National Museum) as seen from the main station
i had initially kept the map.. and wanted to remember everything
but then, work and volunteer work got in the way
so.. now i have a hard time recalling the places

so i took off on foot along the road to the Platzspitz park (i.e Central Zürich Park)
(I figured that Platz means 'place'; just like how the french names buildings as 'place')

the car wash was one of the first things i saw
i think sometimes it annoys people that i feel a sense of wonder about many things

the tree-lined walk just along the Limmat River

the park was really tranquil, such a world away from the downtown bustle

i just love all these flowers that grow so randomly on the ground

Landesmuseum as seen from the park

Finally some signs in French!

more flowers!
