Antwerpen

Town Square, Antwerpen, Belgium
March 2011

one of those times i wished i had a proper wide-angle lens

it's where i met my baby nephew for the first time

he was 5 months old then, and had travelled all the way from DC
it was love at first sight
he's now much bigger, much more mobile, with a lot more hair
but still as adorable; more so because he now knows how to mouth the words "TT"
and tries to help me comb my hair on Skype

the majestic rail station - one of the nicest rail stations i've ever seen

shops around the town square

what i love about Europe in spring/summer - al fresco dining

Het Steen- the medieval fortress

and The City Hall where my cousins got married
:)

a very grand House of God - St Carolus Borromeus Church

i was so preoccupied with my family that i didn't take that many pictures
or pay that much attention to my surroundings
but that's why i enjoyed Antwerp so much
in 20 years' time, i'll be able to embarrass my nephew with these photos of him cooing at me
:)
