Food in Singapore: Chinese Porridge @ Kent Ridge House

Kent Ridge Guild House is this flashy Alumni building in NUS
though i used to regular haunt the NUS campus and the vicinity
since I didn't actually go to school there, i didn't qualify
anyway.. this happens to be Uncle MT's favourite place

this restauarnt, which mainly serves local food, is particularly famous for its porridge buffet
I'm a porridge hater though so i opted for steamed rice
i could believe it was famous; it was fully packed out even on a tuesday evening
what impressed me was the range of preserved vegetables and sauces
which i didn't touch cos i don't think they went well with plain rice

My choices: omelette, some pork balls, tofu, prawns, fish, prawn paste chicken (yeay!)

mango pudding, sesame red bean pastry, and profiteroles



yum!
and i was already in a state of decline w.r.t food
because i had been eating non-stop for two weeks
