One of the most common sights in L'boro:

Loughborough is a small market town with a huge university
LU occupies one quarter of the town and students make up half the population
The average age of the town is .. depressingly, 31..
sigh!

LU is also famous as The Sports University;
Olympians live amongst us, and most of Team GB came from L'boro in 2008 Olympics

Apart from facilities, the town itself has a terrain suited for triathelete training
On a day with good weather, I see hourdes of university students/professional athletes jogging or cycling past my house

Oh.. something else that makes me feel horribly old..
Young mums barely out of their teens with toddlers in tow
and people who ask me which course I'm attending in LU
