X'mas Break: Parisian opulence

Pictures taken on the 28th of December, 2008

Paris froze last night
it was so chilly outside i was quite happy to end the day early

we started off at Champ E'lysee
skipping through LV, Gap etc
Gap was still using the same old exchange rates for GBP and Euros
which meant we could have bought things so much cheaper!!
(at that time, euro was one to one with sterling pound)
too bad there was nothing that attractive

i think Champ E'lysee during christmas season is all about fur coats, ornate decorations and excessive glitter
and of course, dog walking..
this post will prove my point

check out that fur coat

christmas decor along the road

Peugeot was exhibiting some reallly cool cars
and they attracted mobs of tourists

and La Fayette of course has the highest glam factor
though.. to be fair, i'm sure it looks that way almost all year round
minus.. oh, the christmas tree, and a couple of balloons

after all that, i quite felt like i'd overdosed on a super-rich chocolate cake
