so this trip, i was planning to see more of Paris
and i did!
Arc de Trioumphe is just 7 minutes' walk away from our hotel
and then, my camera batt went flat
O_o
we spent half a day at the Louvre, which i absolutely loved
especially Salle Denon with all its paintings
which tells of colourful striking stories
i could have spent days in that place..
my favourite was one of the depictions of "La Mort de Cléopâtre"
by Giovanni Pietro Rizzoli
when i tried to go to Bastille, mummy got very puzzled
and asked me why i'd want to go to a prison
we rounded off the day with some pictures at Notre-Dame
and a dinner at the Place D'Italie which is really a chinatown set up by the vietnemese
the menu, in french and vietnemese, confused me a little
but the proprietor spoke mandarin
yeay!
so we had vietnamese spring rolls, cha siew and wanton soup for dinner
the very first time since i'd come to UK
