Melaka: Nostalgia, Modern Art and Chicken Rice

The myriad of colours at an indian shop in downtown
i was awestruck at the speed at which men stringed delicate jasmine flowers

Trishaws, icons of Melaka, parked outside a shop in downtown Melaka

On the wall of a chinese temple, a dragon engages in a fierce fight among the clouds

Another dragon stands guard at the entrance of the Hokkien Huay Kwan (Clan Association)

The Cheng Hoon Teng temple.. it was quite unlike any I've seen before
the details are simply amazing

Is that Justice Bao on the left?

For the Royal Press, it's still just like old times..

What we found in the interior of a chichi shop selling cute keepsakes

Flowers adorn the facade of a chic boutique converted from a shophouse

One of the avant garde art galleries that litter Chinatown

bright murals beckon the casual browser..

We had dinner at a roadside stall selling chicken rice; each portion was USD 1.00

spotted.. a public phone booth!

The row of old houses lining the Melaka River..
