Yangon trip: Day 2

mummy brought me to Shwe Dagon for half an hour of a rushed round of prayers and donations
i ended up buying 10 books on old burmese stories and religion

as much as i'm attracted to european architecture, asian buildings are also soemthing to be proud about
i've read before that there're more than 100 types of intricate wood patterns (mainly swirls and flowers) used in this burmese architecture

if i'm not wrong it's the "brother" pagoda of Shwe Dagon
there was a counter acceptiong donations for gold plating

The little vehicle used to send up to the workmen the gold plates donated by devotees
mummy and i chipped in for a 100 pc packet of gold paper

the flowers in the garden near the car park at the northern gate
when i was shooting, a barefoot teenage boy came over and watched me with interest
asking what i was doing
he was really happy when i showed him the photos
it somehow touched me

an old bus..
i dont know if they still use these buses to ferry school kids
even tho i dont rem ever taking them before, seeing them made me feel like i was 12 again
