Montreal

Montreal is said to be the most European town in North America
I'm in love with the place..
the old town charm, the historical buildings, the french accent
mummy hated it tho.. cos all train stops are announced in french

I can't remember the names of most of the buildings
i just went crazy taking pictures..

This is the interior of the famous Notre-Dame Basilica
(Flash is not allowed and my camera wasn't good enough)
it's the kind of place that leaves you awe-struck
i felt religious even tho i'm buddhist

This is the Biodome
it's basically a greenhouse that showcases flora and fauna from different parts of the world

Mummy didn't get to see maple leaves
..except in the Biodome

That's probably the only coral i'll see close-up since i can't swim

Parc-Olympique, built specifically for the Olympics
i forget the year
It is supposed to be world's tallest slanted tower or something
there's a glass elevator to take visitors up to the top

More buildings..
the roof turns green after the bronze (or is it zinc?) gets oxidised
We supposedly went at the ugliest time of the year..
the crossover between winter and spring
but i like the way trees look after they've shed leaves

The Biosphere on St Helene's Island
It's a research/envioronment conservatory place that studies water (or some such thing)
St Helene's Island itself is famous for the casino where little old ladies with walking sticks flock to
